The project is launching a dedicated digital platform to serve local stakeholders, operators, economic endeavours and general users with specific innovative applications to aid, optimise, empower and enhance their own activities, operations and products. It also aims to make satellite derived information more easily accessible and relevant to society by channelling data when and where it is needed over popular media and in more user-friendly formats.
A tool intended to facilitate the use of STREAM data by the users. Data will be received in netCDF format (netCDF Format Description). You can here convert the data to an EXCEL file format.
NetCDF is the standard data format used for structured scientific data especially in the case of spatial data sets with several parameters spanning over a time period. In STREAM we deliver data in individual files for separate parameters and individual data requests. NetCDF remains the preferred data transfer protocol, but we here offer users to convert to EXCEL format. The conversion is straight forward when data is selected at a point or along a transect, but we also provide the service when the data spans over an area, in which case the data is presented in multiple EXCEL sheets, either separate sheets for each day or separate sheets for data along each latitude.
A cross-disciplinary team motivated to deliver the STREAM project and contribute to build the future of earth observations in Malta.
